“The Impact of COVID-19 on Human Resource activities of the Banking sector of Bangladesh”
Abstract
This report includes how the banking sector of Bangladesh is running its human resources-related operation (Hiring, recruiting, and job satisfaction) during COVID-19. All of the HRM activities have taken from Southeast Bank Limited, First Security Islamic Bank Limited, IFIC Bank Limited, Mercantile Bank Limited, Bank Asia Limited. To give an overview of the banking sector’s HRM-related criteria and rules during covid 19 is the main objective of this task. Apart from this, some identified objectives carry some common and slightly different scenarios among these mentioned banks. This report is distributed throughout the six chapters and the first chapter is about the introduction of the report and objectives. Chapter two includes a literature review, and the chapter is about industry perspective or organizational background. After that chapter four is sort of detailed about HR function from selected area. Lastly, chapters five and six carries findings and recommendations consecutively. The banking industry of Bangladesh is growing rapidly and has to confront many new issues. Among all the new issues Covid -19 is the shaking topic around the world. Therefore, the banking sector needed to reintroduce all HR activities. So, the main point of view of this project is to find out the HR function of Southeast Bank limited, First security Islamic Bank Limited, IFIC Bank Limited, Mercantile Bank Limited, Bank Asia Limited which have applied in this epidemic.
